The Art of Memory
The Art of Remembering An artistic journey of memory, trauma, healing and reconciliation.
In the movie The Art of Memory, the visual artist Artemis Alcalay She presents her works, recounts her family’s history, and examines the ways in which she has consciously or unconsciously processed the family stories she has heard, collective trauma, and the memory of the Holocaust. Over a period of 30 years, she recorded 67 testimonies from Greek Jewish survivors.
